ECOWES, a regional leader in battery recycling, participated on 13–14 November in MaterialFEST 2025, an event dedicated to innovation in materials science, organized by the University Politehnica of Bucharest. MaterialFEST brought together students, academics, researchers, and industrial companies, creating a platform for dialogue and collaboration between the academic environment and the technology sector.

At its exhibition stand, ECOWES showcased its fully integrated industrial battery recycling process, demonstrating how the company’s technology transforms hazardous waste into valuable resources, directly supporting the circular economy and reducing the environmental footprint of end-of-life batteries.

MaterialFEST 2025 also provided an excellent opportunity for direct engagement with students and specialists interested in sustainable technologies, material efficiency, and advanced solutions for resource management. ECOWES representatives held meaningful discussions on the potential integration of modern recycling technologies into academic and applied research projects, opening avenues for future long-term collaboration.
“ECOWES’ participation in MaterialFEST 2025 reflects our vision to play a proactive role not only in industrial recycling, but also in the education of future engineers and researchers. We believe that partnerships between companies and the academic community are essential for building a sustainable value chain for batteries and strategic materials,” said Horia Irimescu, CEO & Founder of ECOWES..
Through its presence at MaterialFEST, ECOWES strengthens its position as a key player within the technological and educational ecosystem, supporting an environment that fosters innovation, professional development, and the transition towards a sustainable economy.
