Black Mass
Black Mass is a valuable mixture of metal compounds primarily recovered from the cathodes of Li-Ion batteries. It contains critical metals including cobalt, nickel, manganese, and lithium.

Iron is separated through mechanical fragmentation and magnetic sorting processes. Battery metal casings, as well as certain internal structural components, contain iron in various forms.

Nickel is mainly recovered from Ni-Cd, NiMH, and nickel-rich Li-Ion batteries (such as NMC / NCA). A valuable metal, widely used in special alloys and in the production of new batteries.
